It is a legal requirement that the driver of a vehicle towing a trailer must be made aware of the correct indicator operation. This is normally achieved by a buzzer mounted in the vehicle.
When you install LED lights on your trailer the indicator buzzer may not work. This device allows the indicator buzzer to work as normal. When the LED light works, this device switches an extra load on the indicator circuit to work the buzzer.
Easy to install, just cut the indicator wire and install this between. See picture 2 for the wiring diagram.
Two devices required per trailer, one per indicator.
Suitable for trailers with LED lights rated between 1.2w to 5w. Not suitable for trailers fitted with normal 21w bulbs and for this reason it should be fitted to the trailer, not the tow vehicle.
Relay is waterproof but should not be mounted where it would receive direct road spray.
The device may get hot in normal use and should not be mounted where that may be a problem.
